This is the 1st annual Southern Music Fest brought to you by The
Learning Connection. Our goal is to have a yearly music fest to
bring music lovers together for a great cause, Children with
Learning Disorders. Proceeds go towards college scholarships and
materials needed for students with learning disorders.
About The Learning Connection:
By having a child tutored at The Learning Connection versus other
facilities, the child is receiving full attention with one on one
tutoring. One on one tutoring promotes confidence, increases
motivation to learn, greater ability to face challenges, and ask
questions. Our center emphasizes the positive rather than
focusing on failures. Motivation and encouragement is the key to
success. We work with the child to develop their own program
that meets their needs particularly in areas of school work that they
are currently doing at the time of service along with reviewing past
academics. Other programs are usually long drawn out processes
that end up with a costly bill, usually a loan, that puts families in
financial binds and frustrated. At the Learning Connection, we
offer many other programs, enrichments, and activities that keeps
the child’s interest and desire to come and learn. We make
learning fun. We want our clients to succeed.
Our tutoring staff are certified & qualified teachers that provide
quality tutoring services to students. These teachers come from a
variety of backgrounds in the Lafourche Parish Schools,
Terrebonne Parish Schools, Assumption Parish Schools, and
several departments at local Universities. We believe in providing
top quality service to our students. Our facility keeps in close
contact with the local school boards, State of Louisiana Department
of Education, and several departments at local Universities to
provide students with the most current available education criteria
and needs to promote growth.
